How was the Constitution created?

The State Museum of History of Uzbekistan opened an exhibition of archival documents devoted to the history of the creation of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition is organized by the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the agency "Uzarhiv" under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Agency "Uzbekkino", the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition promotes the role and importance of the Constitution in our life, promotes wide awareness of the history of its creation, strengthening of the sense of loyalty to the Motherland, respect for the Constitution and laws of our country, and raising its legal awareness in the minds of the younger generation.

The exposition of the exhibition, organized in connection with the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, included original copies of documents on the history of our Basic Law, historical materials on the drafting process of the Constitution, manuscript amendments made by the First 
President of our country Islam Karimov in the text of the draft Constitution. In addition, it is also possible to get acquainted with materials on opinions and proposals on the draft Constitution sent by ministries, state committees, courts and prosecutors, writers, professors and teachers of higher educational institutions, as well as people's participation in the process of discussing the draft Basic Law. The exhibition also presents the first printed texts of our Constitution in Uzbek, Russian, English and other languages.
