“Having arrived in Uzbekistan to cover the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I witnessed that Uzbekistan continues to develop in a democratic way. Each voter received a personal invitation to the polls. All polling stations had booths for wheelchair persons. The representatives of the election commission visited those who for health reasons could not come for voting with the ballot papers and ballot boxes,” he said.
“Much attention has been paid to the creation of favorable conditions for journalists covering the elections,” Ossama Srour emphasized. “In particular, the Press Club Elections.uz-2016 was established. The conditions there created for media representatives exceeded all expectations. Journalists can work productively thanks to modern technology, high-speed Internet. Every day the Press Club held a variety of meetings, debates, cultural events. I participated in many meetings. Press Club has become a place where journalists get to know each other, establish creative relationships.”
“I want to emphasize the Contest of Social Spots, in which I participated as a member of the jury. It is gratifying that mostly young journalists got competed in it,” the expert concluded.
