Our people are well aware and worthily estimate the significance of the large-scale work to provide residents of towns and rural settlements with modern housing. The most important state programs adopted in this direction are implemented in a timely and qualitative way thanks to your work, experience and professional skills, which is confirmed by deep gratitude expressed by numerous new settlers - citizens of our country.
Over the past ten years, in 1,308 rural settlements of our country, 69,557 comfortable dwelling houses have been built on the basis of standard projects, and as a result, the housing conditions for 83,500 families have been radically improved.
In order to create favorable conditions for our people, especially people with low income and young families, we have adopted and are implementing a program for the construction of affordable and comfortable housing. At present, large-scale works on the construction of affordable housing are being carried out in all regions of the country, in particular 191 residential houses in the regional centers, 102 houses in Sergeli district of Tashkent, and more than 15 thousand similar houses in rural areas.
Along with the construction of residential houses, work is under way at an accelerated pace to build and equip social infrastructure facilities, educational and healthcare facilities, retail and service points in the residential areas, as well as spacious streets, small sports grounds and recreation areas, parks and squares are built, which creates additional conveniences for the population.
It is notorious that since long our country has been famous for its great creative traditions. Based on the continuation of these traditions and their harmonious combination with the achievements of modern architecture, the Uzbek school of architecture and urban development is now entering a new level of development.”
