An event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Tashkent branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I. Gubkin was held in the capital on Tuesday.
The university was established in 2007 on the initiative of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. Currently, more than 730 students study here.
By the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his great contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists for the oil and gas industry of the country, the Russian State University of Oil and Gas was awarded with the "Dustlik" Order. At the event, the award was attached to the banner of the Russian university.
The other day the Kashkadarya regional branch of the university was opened. It was organized in accordance with the President's Decree on measures to expand the bilateral strategic partnership and allied relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation on April 12 and the Memorandum of Understanding between Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
