Training workshop for operators of ”Salom TV” TV channel was held in Tashkent

A training workshop with participation of operators of "Salom TV" TV channel "Enhancing professionalism and technical skills of young operators of non-government television stations: study of international experience" with a French director and operator Regis Ghezelbash was held in Tashkent today.

In previous years, most activities, according to him, were devoted to shooting technique that helped operators and editors to improve their skills. This time, the participants have discussed in detail the concept of a product on tourist topic. During the seminar, the French expert has emphasized on how to attract tourists to Uzbekistan using media content. "It is needed to show the country from a different perspective, not as usual. We will try to avoid clichés which filled all the films about Uzbekistan," Ghezelbash said. "The videos and movies will be designed for people living outside Uzbekistan. We will try to create on the screen a universal pattern presenting all the richness and diversity of the country. It will be practical work too, we film small clips together," Ghezelbash noted. Media-days coinciding with World Press Freedom Day are held in Tashkent from April 25 to May 11. Seminars and workshops with participation of international experts are planned for more than 100 employees of non-government television and radio stations of the country. The main event will be the international conference "Mass media as an important tool of social dialogue, ensuring transparency of public and administrative authorities." It is scheduled a presentation of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of its project on economic support of transition to digital broadcasting of its members non-government television and radio stations.
