The post of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the head of the General Directorate of Internal Affairs of Tashkent (hereinafter - the General Directorate) was introduced. He was given the right to coordinate the activities of all Tashkent internal affairs agencies, including those given to the forces and means, in order to ensure effective protection of public order, the prevention of violations and the struggle with crime;
The chief of the GDIA will have a deputy, responsible for the organization of effective activities of inspectors for prevention in the sphere of early warning of offenses, especially among minors and youth, ensuring the coordinated interaction of all branch services in this direction;
The institute of the adviser to the head of the coordination department, which is established on a voluntary basis from the number of pensioners of law-enforcement bodies, having a large practical experience in the field of public order, crime prevention and crime control, as well as authority and respect in the system of these bodies, extra charges at the expense of budgetary funds at a rate of 30 percent from the pension paid by it is introduced.
Since April 1, 2018, a rating assessment has been made of the effectiveness of measures taken by the internal affairs departments to protect public order, prevent offenses and combat crime, including measures to encourage distinguished departments of internal affairs, including material incentives for its employees, as well as penalties for improper performance of assigned tasks.
Also in the capital will be introduced a simplified procedure for issuing decisions on the refusal to initiate a criminal case, following the results of pre-investigation checks of relevant applications, reports and other information about crimes that are received through the single telephone number "102" of the General Directorate.
And the chairmen of the citizens’ assemblies and leaders of the "Mahalla Posbon" public division of the citizens’ assemblies in Tashkent will participate in briefings held in the departments of internal affairs.
