According to the press service, the Russian delegation was led by the commander of the Central Military District, Lieutenant-General Alexander Lapin. The Russian military familiarized with the history of the Academy and the process of training officers at the tactical, operational and strategic levels.
"During the visit, representatives of the Russian delegation willingly responded on the issues of interest to cadets and students of the Academy. The faculty of the Academy was able to get acquainted with the experience of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in fighting with international terrorism in Syria," the report said.
Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan intensifies mutually beneficial cooperation with leading foreign military universities with a view to a broad exchange of experience with advanced foreign armies, the Ministry of Defense of the republic noted.
