Primary school classes will be transferred to five days

Since March 1, a five-day academic week has been introduced for all first-graders. Since September 1, all primary school classes will be transferred to the five-day week, Gazeta.uz reports.

For the primary classes of schools in Uzbekistan, a five-day academic week is introduced. This is stipulated in the protocol of the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on February 9.

As explained to the "Gazeta.uz" newspaper in the government, since March 1, pupils of the first classes of schools will go to five-day week. For the remaining classes of primary school (from the second to the fourth), the five-day period will be introduced from the new school year.

It should be noted that the five-day academic week operates in selected schools of the country on the basis of an agreement between school administrations and parents.
