In accordance with the decree of the president of the republic Islam Karimov, new tax rates on gasoline consumption were established in Uzbekistan from 1 January 2016, according to Norma.
The price increase associated with an increase in tax on the consumption of motor fuel by 45 soums - from 290 to 335 soms per 1 liter. Prices of liquefied gas and compressed gas have been increased as well - 30 soms (from 200 to 230 sums a liter) and 35 soms (from 240 to 275 sums per cubic meter) respectively.
Currently, 1 liter of AI-80 costs 2030 soums, Ai-91 - 2235 soums, Ai-95 - 2460 soums and diesel - 2200 soums.
C 2016 Petroleum products produced from raw materials (gas oil and straight-run gasoline), imported under commission and destined for its own needs by economic entities - the State Enterprise Navoi MMC, Almalyk MMC JSC, Uzbekistan Railways JSC and others will also be imposed by tax on the consumption of gasoline, diesel fuel and gas for vehicles in 2016.
Cost increases will take place for a given group of consumers in real due to lower world prices for oil and oil products.
Cost of oil products for this consumer group is made up of actual costs incurred.
As a result, the decline in prices of hydrocarbons will reduce the cost of oil products. The tax on consumption of gasoline, diesel fuel and gas for vehicles for these business entities will approximately equalize the cost of petroleum products, made up for this group of users with retail prices including tax.
