Minimum length of service to qualify for a pension can be increased from 5 to 7 years

The minimum length of service to qualify for a pension in Uzbekistan with incomplete length of service can be increased from 5 to 7 years, the press service of the lower house of parliament reports.

Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on January 7 in first reading adopted amendments to the law "On State Pensions", which provides for an increase in the minimum time of service to qualify for a pension with incomplete work experience, from 5 to 7 years.

According to the International Labour Organization Convention minimum required experience for a pension is set for 15 years. In many countries, including the territory of the CIS, the figure now stands at least at 10-15 years.
