Measures Toughened for the Protection of High-Security and Categorized Objects

Uzbekistan has introduced the administrative and criminal liability for breach of duty to ensure the protection of high-security and categorized objects.

Thus, in accordance with the article 2101 of the Code of administrative responsibility for violation of access control to high-security and categorized objects, that is, the unauthorized entry of a person, the movement of vehicles or property on the high-security and categorized objects without authorization, is punishable by a fine on citizens from 1 to 3, and on officials from 3 to 5 minimum wages.

Failure to comply with the obligation to ensure the protection of high-security and categorized objects by officials of enterprises, institutions and organizations responsible for their implementation, is punishable by a fine from 15 to 30 minimum wages, or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.

Criminal sanctions are envisaged for those responsible for the protection of high-security and categorized objects, for failure to perform their duties after applying to them the administrative penalty, by a fine of 50 to 100 minimum wages, deprivation of certain right up to 3 years, correctional labor up to 3 years, restriction of liberty from 1 to 3 years, or imprisonment up to 3 years.
