In Ferghana, a harvest festival was held with the holding of folk games

Farmers, gardeners and stockbreeders, representatives of agricultural enterprises, the general public gathered at the national sayil at the end of the harvest at the Otchopar stadium in the Ferghana region.

Selfless farmers of the region have gathered a rich harvest – more 222 thousand tons of cotton and 315.8 thousand tons of grain. This year, 332.5 thousand tons of potatoes, 945.9 thousand tons of vegetables, 85.6 thousand tons of melons, 502.4 thousand tons of fruits, 141.4 thousand tons of grapes were harvested by farmers of the region. 136.3 thousand tons of agricultural products were exported. Within the framework of the program of social and economic development of the region in 2017, 61 projects for the processing of fruit and vegetable products, meat and milk were implemented. Commercial banks allocated loans in the amount of 25.6 billion soums, created 860 new jobs.

"We are grateful for the high attention paid to agricultural workers," said A.Teshaboyev, head of the "Rohatoy" farm of the Kuva district. - In our farm, specializing in cotton and grain growing, livestock breeding, beekeeping, fish breeding, poultry and horticulture lines have been set up in recent years, a shop for processing vegetables, melons and melons has been set up, a cold store for storing vegetables and fruits, and greenhouses has been organized. With the expansion of activities, our income also increases. At the moment, the farm employs more than 200 people.

Folk games, performances of folklore groups, competitions of strongmen made a great impression on all participants of the harvest festival. Also there was a pilaf contest, ulak-kupkari competitions, a big concert program was performed by well-known artists.
