Balloon Rides to Be Developed in Uzbekistan

The first air balloon got tested at the Chorvoq Water Reservoir, Tashkent region, Uzbekistan. The pilot, while the tethered flight of the balloon, was carried out by enthusiasts of the Federation of Aeronautics of Uzbekistan, established earlier this year, and gathered a considerable number of eyewitnesses, representatives of the media, thanks to which the photo of the event was already flooded by social networks and the Internet space.

But the first official ride of the balloon will take place on August 23 at the grand opening of the Madina Muhlisa Star Park in Uchtepa district of Tashkent, the construction of which is carried out with the financial support of the National Bank of Uzbekistan.

“On the opening day of the park, our pilot will lift the balloon over the territory, and will keep it at the same altitude,” Tohir Soliyev, the head of the Federation of Aeronautics, said. “We also plan to invite all volunteers to take part in the ride. In order for everything go well, with all the rules and safety techniques, we also conducted a number of trainings outside the city. Although even without this I can say with confidence that the entire launch program meets the most advanced requirements for such events, and the balloon ride is the safest type of active recreation.

“The test of the air balloon can be regarded as an official start in the Republic of attractions of this kind. However, this is already the first step in the implementation of the program for the development of aeronautics in Uzbekistan, for the support of which we are very grateful to the management of the National Bank of Uzbekistan,” Tohir Soliyev concluded.
