Guided by Presidential Resolution PP-2048 ‘On Measures for Further Development of Tashkent Public Transport System’, Toshshakhartranskhizmat is made up of 32 enterprises, employing 6192 workers. Over 3560 (57.6%) are drivers and conductors.
Toshshakhartranskhizmat operates 1350 buses (27 Mercedes-Benz O 345’s, 600 Mercedes-Benz Low Floors, 684 Isuzus, 30 Mercedes-Benz Uberlands, 8 Hyundais, and one MAN).
In 2016, the company bought 80 Isuzus and called on Toshavtotamirkhizmat to service 3470 Mercedes-Benzes and on Truck and Bus Servis to service 4850 Isuzus.
In 2016 Toshshakhartranskhizmat serviced 272m passengers.
Over 1440 buses and minibuses in all 128 itineraries have been equipped with GPS tracking and GPS/GSM antennas.
To ensure comfortable commutes and enhance GPS efficiency, Toshshakhartranskhizmat and Grand Technology Systems launched TashBus, an app. The app is available for Android and iOS to over 80,000 users.
Toshshakhartranskhizmat, Toshtransdispetcherkhizmat and Grand Technology Systems set to installing display systems at Tashkent’s bus stops. So far, 20 main bus stops have been equipped with the boards, which work 24/7 and provide bus timetables from 6.00 to 23.00. Around 100 more display systems are expected to be installed by the end of the year.
The display system has the following information:
- Route number;
- Bus stop name;
- Bus timetable;
- Weather information.
