The Building of the Tashkent Children’s Consultative and Diagnostic Center Changed the Owner

A few days ago the reconstruction of the building of the Tashkent Children’s Consultative and Diagnostic Center began. However, the medical center is not yet owner of this building. After the completion of the reconstruction of the building it will be owned by the Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, which is currently experiencing a shortage of space. The Off-budget Fund of Reconstruction, Refurbishment and Equipping of Schools, Colleges, Lyceums and Medical Institutions allocates 8 billion soums this year to solve this problem.

In recent years the Institute has introduced the most advanced diagnostic methods of treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, in particular, the Institute specialists perform surgery on knee and hip joints, endovisual diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the joints, and many other innovative technologies. The Institute is a leader among the medical institutions in the number of patented innovations and innovative diagnosis and treatment methods.

“Today, the entire complex of units is located in one five-storey building. It was very uncomfortable, and we had to raise the problem at the Ministry of Health to construct additional buildings. It was supported,” said Nuritdin Inogamov, deputy director of the Institute for general affairs.

It was determined that the administration of the Institute will be transferred to the new building, as well as the emergency and outpatient units. However, the director of the Institute Mirkhakim Azizov said that the new building would also place several more units. He also said that this year the Institute expects the arrival of new equipment purchased by the Ministry of Health as part of the project, implemented in cooperation with foreign partners.
