“In the northern regions of the country, Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region due to the peculiarities of the ecological situation the problem of proper and healthy nutrition of the mother and child is becoming one of the most important tasks,” says MD, professor, author of cookery book ‘Khorazm Taomlari’ (Khorezm dishes) Bahriyor Duschanov. “Nutrition of the population, including those based on the features of the gastronomic and culinary heritage of the regions of Uzbekistan, replacing animal fats with vegetable oils, rich in amino acids, such as flaxseed oil, walnut and other stone fruit oils, along with foods rich in proteins and carbohydrates, vitamins, help eliminate toxins from the body and improve health.”
