The new center will be dealing with the formation of effective system of prevention and treatment of diseases associated with chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency, the introduction of modern methods of surgical treatment of patients with stenosis of carotid arteries. The center will be able to receive up to 40 patients simultaneously. It is planned that 20 beds will be financed from extra budgetary funds coming from the provision of medical services on a fee basis.
The center is assigned the functions of a coordination center in the field of angioneurology, the formation of an effective vertical of methodical guidance on the introduction of modern methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular insufficiency, primarily in the practice of regional medical institutions.
The center will also coordinate the work on training and upgrading the skills of angioneurologists, organizing master classes and conducting demonstration operations, teaching lectures and seminars in regional medical institutions.
The center will also develop scientific research in the field of diseases associated with cerebrovascular insufficiency.
The center will also develop a national stroke registry in the Republic of Uzbekistan and will carry out a continuous analysis of the incidence of chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency.
