Heads of local universities, teachers and leading experts of specialized secondary, vocational and higher education schools met in Samarkand. The main topic for discussion was the advantages of the system of continuous education and problems with the quality and efficiency of educational process.
“Presently, our university trains bachelors in 31 educational directions and masters in 36 specialties. We provide 14 academic lyceums and 161 professional colleges, specialized secondary schools of region with practical assistance in the scientific, educational, spiritual and educational directions. Departments and offices have connected with relevant educational institutions, organized open lessons and training seminars,” said Buston Islamov, the vice-rector of Samarkand State University said.
The participants of the meeting took into account the urgent questions of learning foreign languages, discussed in detail what they need to do as soon as possible to strengthen this work. The experts agreed that it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between the units of the education system.
