This year, the professional colleges and academic lyceums admit 483,216 school graduates. Based on a critical analysis of personnel training the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution ‘On admission to the secondary special and professional education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2015-2016 academic year.’

It is noted that earlier the work was conducted poorly to identify the real needs in particular professions and specialties with special secondary education in the context of sectors and territories, timely restructuring of colleges and lyceums to train demanded specialists. As a result, it was noted that not all college graduates went working in their chosen specialty. Many of those are in Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, Jizzakh regions and Karakalpakstan.
Taking into account that the main objective of professional colleges is to prepare personnel in accordance with the real needs in personnel in the sectors of economy and territories, admission quotas were drawn up taking into account the forecasts of personnel needs in 2018.
