World in children’s eyes

In more than 3 thousand pictures presented in the central exhibition hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, children depicted their vision and understanding of the Motherland, nature and the world around them.

Specifically, this is easy to see in the works entitled “the world of childhood”, “sweets’ tree” and “camels” by young Uzbeks, Davron Tursunov, Maftuna Bakhtiyorzoda and Dilzoda Valiyeva, as well as “Uzbekistan” and “Navruz” by Nazgul Bazarkhanova from Kazakhstan and Reykhan Mamedova from Ukraine, respectively.

These young talents are participants in the VI international biennale of children’s pictures “Joys of Tashkent” that has opened in the central exhibition hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

In the opening of the international contest held by the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan jointly with the ministries of culture and sports, foreign affairs, public education and other organizations, representatives of the wider public, artists, teachers, art lovers, students and journalists participated.

The chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, A.Nuriddinov; and others said that noble work conducted by First President Islam Karimov on increasing the creative and intellectual potential of the younger generation served as an important factor in displaying their talent today. In this context, the traditional VI international biennale of children’s pictures “Joys of Tashkent” along with support for talented children also serves to further enrich the knowledge of foreign students about the history, ancient monuments, national traditions and customs of Uzbekistan.

On display are creative works by children from more than 20 countries, such as Germany, France, Romania, Latvia, Japan, China, India, Singapore, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, the USA and Israel.
