In the late 60s of the 20th century a new, more progressive at the time the format of art - video art got emerged. Then the artists believed that discovered the most democratic art, which would allow to bring people together, using language familiar to all - language of TV and cinema.
The exhibition organizers are focused on trying to more clearly make frames and features of the trends in the media art, used to express its artistic concept of the possibility of video, computer and television images. Based on the world masterpieces of video art, the Gallery introduces some significant works of Central Asian artists.
The visitors can see the works of internationally renowned authors from the USA, France, Great Britain, Iran, as well as the video art pieces by contemporary artists of Central Asia, Russia, Moldova, displayed in major regional and international exhibitions, including ‘Constellation’ (Uzbekistan , 2005), the 52nd Venice Biennale (2007), International Project UK & CA (United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, 2007), Project ‘Starter’ (Tajikistan, 2006), and others. In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy several works by young artists of Uzbekistan.
