There are 160 young singers from France, Korea, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan gathered at the first international competition of academic, pop and traditional performance ‘Istedod’.
All participants are divided into two groups of young people from 12 to 15 years and from 16 to 19 years. The competition is held in categories of piano, stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello and bass) and pop performance.
The competition has two stages. In the first, participants perform the national music of their countries, and 50 per cent of them will go into the next stage, depending on the skills shown. In the second stage, they will perform works of the major forms of world and Uzbek classical composers.
The award ceremony and the closing of the contest will take place in the Republican Specialized Music Academic Lyceum of V. Uspenskiy on November 30, 2015.
Winners, who took I, II, III places in this international competition, would be awarded with diplomas of the winner and prizes established by the Ministry of Education.
