Chamber orchestra "Turkistan" gave a concert in the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. And again, Eldar Azimov, who is a permanent artistic director of the team was not conduting the orchestra.
Eldar Sarvarovich is alive and well, he continues to lead and to perform together with the team. But this concert was one of the series conducted by promising young talents. The outstanding conductor gives space for young people to have a chance to show their talent. As Azimov often says: "the stage is the main teacher”.
This time, the orchestra was managed by a second-year undergraduate student of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, winner of international festivals and competitions, Ruslan Beckman. The audience was delighted. The orchestra played well, as if there was no substitution.
The real surprise for the audience was the performance of Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge for string orchestra. It was executed in Tashkent for the first time! The work of the English composer Benjamin Britten is challenging for the conductor and the orchestra. The audience appreciated the results. The applause did not cease for several minutes.
Serenade ( E Minor ) by Eldar, miniature "Chrysanthemum" by Puccini, "Fantasy on Jewish themes for Clarinet and Orchestra" by Prokofiev were also performed at the concert.
