The Tashkent State Theater of Musical Comedy (Operetta) has staged the play ‘Romantics’ based on the work by Edmond Rostand.
The comedy maintains the beauty of the natural human feelings. The story of how two widower fathers decided to marry their children playing quarrel among themselves, engaging in their son and daughter...
“I read this work long ago and wanted to stage it. I liked the work, because it is melodious,” says the production director Sergei Kaprielov. “Music for the play was written by composer Valeriy Saparov. The theme of the play is topical as well – about romanticism and false romanticism. Present day young people often lack of such romanticism. The relationship between the young people becomes more pragmatic. So, I believe the play serves a lesson of false romanticism and true romantic relationship, as it ends with the triumph of love and fidelity.”
Near the end of the season the theater pleases not only with premiere plays but concert that takes place on July 1, and which crowns the 42nd season.
