In the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan an exhibition dedicated to the folk arts and crafts of Bukhara was opened.
The exhibition was named "Paints of Bukhara", and is a spring and bright gift to "Navruz". Here are represented chapan and canvases of national fabric, which date back to the late 19th - early 20th centuries. All exhibits are property of Bukhara collector Akbar Khakimov.
As the organizers noted, the Hakimov collection is voluminous and diverse, it includes all kinds of folk arts and crafts, but it is the national textile, which is known throughout the world as the "Ikat", inspired this festive exhibition. The organizers wanted to charge Uzbeks and foreign guests with the riot of iridescent colors of Bukhara textiles.
The exhibition will last until the end of March, and during the celebration of Nowruz the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan will wait for its guests to charge them with rainbow colors of spring.
