Representatives of ministries and departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan, scientists and specialists of the leading higher educational institutions of the country, as well as foreign guests take part in the seminar.
During the seminar, issues of wide introduction of modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in state bodies and organizations of our country, ensuring rational consumption of energy resources were considered.
The main report at the seminar was made by Sherzod Kattahodjaev, Deputy General Director of NESC JSC. In particular, he noted that in recent years a large-scale work has been carried out in the republic to increase energy efficiency in the economic and social sectors, as well as to expand the use of renewable energy sources. The next step in introducing modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in our country was the adoption of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for the further implementation of modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies" of August 23, 2017. In accordance with this resolution of the head of state, the National Energy Saving Company (NESC) joint-stock company was established, which is a specialized agency responsible for the implementation of modern energy-saving technologies in state bodies and organizations, as well as monitoring the efficiency of energy consumption in state bodies and organizations.
The key event of the seminar was the meeting of the Alternative Energy Club (AEC), in which the President of the Jontia Group, Mr. Liu Qi, presented the "Green City, Akhangaran" Project. The participants of the seminar were greatly interested in the presentation by the representative of the American University of Washington, Michael Brody, on the theme: "Climate Change and The Future of Uzbekistan's Water Resources".
In addition, the seminar widely discussed the use of photovoltaic stations and systems in households. A lecturer of the International Westminster University, Tashkent, Bakhtiyor Eshchanov, made a report on this topic. In his speech, he noted that, in our favorable climate, small solar installations with a capacity of
1 kW for residential buildings will be widely used and gave a preliminary economic evaluation of the use of photovoltaic stations and systems in households.
As part of the discussion of the reports, the seminar participants paid special attention to discussing the determining conditions and specific criteria for the introduction of energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in state bodies and organizations.
The participants noted that all the information received will have positive results in long-term and fruitful cooperation with "National Energy Saving Company" JSC on the introduction of modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in various sectors of the economy and social sphere, expanding the use of renewable energy sources.
In most countries of the world, one of the most important objects of state regulation has been the introduction of modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in various sectors of the economy and social sphere, as well as the expansion of the use of renewable energy sources. This is due to the shortage of basic energy resources, the growing cost of their production against the backdrop of a constant increase in the economy's need for energy resources, as well as global environmental problems.
In modern conditions, when the development of alternative energy is becoming increasingly important, the natural conditions of Uzbekistan as a sunny region provide excellent opportunities for the generation of solar energy and its subsequent use in various sectors of the economy and everyday life. For this purpose, a corresponding regulatory and legal framework has already been created in the country that stimulates households and business entities to actively introduce innovative and environmentally friendly methods of generating electricity.
Experts discussed the trends of modern construction, shared experience and implemented projects. Vice-president of the Union of Architects of Russia and member of the Council for Eco-Sustainable Architecture of the Union of Architects Yaroslav Usov showed the image of the cities of the future - futuristic forms of glass buildings, organically inscribed in the landscape of the environment and expanding the space of the city. In its projects, the strict buildings are replaced by exquisite forms, requiring advanced design approaches and innovative materials.
A wide range of current issues of energy supply and energy saving for the cities, introduction of new technologies in the system of the fuel and energy complex of a large city, the integrated application of energy-saving technologies and modern management solutions, as well as issues of improving the ecology of the urban environment are discussed. The position of the International Assembly of Capitals and Large Cities (IAC) on energy saving was reflected in the report by the Executive Vice President of the IAC Mikhail Sokolov, who told the conference participants about the "IAC-ENERGO" project of the International Assembly, which occupies a special place within the framework of the IAC "City For City" Special Program.
