Uzbek government has made changes in the rules of export of fruit and vegetables, potatoes, melons and grapes. Staring from July 1 companies are allowed to export goods by road with license for international transport of goods.
The ban on export of the said goods by road was introduced on September 1 last year. At that time suppliers were obliged to supply exclusively by rail and air transport. This decision was due to the need to adjust and ensure transparency of customs procedures to prevent illegal export of agricultural products.
In early October, a number of legal entities included in the special list were granted the right to export fruits and vegetables by road until January 1, 2016. In late January this permit was extended until July 1.
