Being an unparalleled production facility in Central Asia, the plant does not yield its leading foreign counterparts in equipment. Its products are marketable in the light industry, the production of detergents, glass, paper and pulp, in ferrous metallurgy, and other industries.
Launched in 2006, the plant occupied niches in many international markets with its quality products in a short time. KSP exports its output to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and other countries. In 2006, the plant produced 12,800 tons of soda ash, while in 2011 the index increased sevenfold. In 2012, KSP produced more than 92,000 tons of import substituting and high-quality products, and more than 100,000 tons last year.
In order to increase the industrial capacity, O’zkimyosanoat enterprises and the China’s CITIC signed an agreement to increase the volume of production at the plant from 100,000 tons to 200,000 tons per year through the $81.7 million soft loan of China. This work has been successfully completed.
“KSP is operated by up-to-date technologies. Operated by ‘smart technologies’, the production process is controlled by the computer center, thereby ensuring safe and optimal working conditions, and enhancing performance. The launch of the second stage would increase the production volume of marketable products in line with international standards,” said the KSP representative Botir Muratbaev.
