The draft resolution of the state’s leader on the establishment of the new agency is now open for for discussion at the portal of legislative acts.
According to experts, a unified geological service would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of exploration works through a unified approach to the exploration of promising fields. It would also be an opportunity to provide the country’s economy with mineral resources and raw materials for the production of high-quality and internationally marketable industrial products for a long-term.
The new agency will be established on the basis of the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Its priority objectives will include a unified state policy in exploration and use of mineral resources, advanced development of mineral resource capacity of the country, primarily groundwater, precious, non-ferrous, rare and rare-earth metals, and accelerated exploration of new types of minerals.
The unified geological service will also ensure effectiveness of exploration, quality and reliability of its results in all stages, including the introduction of advanced methods of forecasting and search of mineral deposits.
Other interesting initiatives come to modernization of the geological industry through accelerated introduction of modern high performance exploration equipment, provision of advanced engineering tools and technologies to ensure the rapid and effective exploration process.
At the same time, there is an urgent need for taking measures to improve the system of advanced staff training in the geology sector, organization of retraining and advanced training courses for employees, and introduction of an effective system of stimulation of work.
