Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) will provide $ 23.8 million loan to Uzbekistan for a project in health sector, according to Kuwaiti periodical Kuna.
First Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov, and Deputy CEO of KFAED Hamad Sulaiman Al-Omar have signed the bilateral agreement. The loan is granted for 26 years with 4-year grace period.
Equipment for urology and hemodialysis departments of Uzbekistan will be purchased, knowledge and skills enhancement of Uzbek specialists will be accomplished under the project.
Earlier, KFAED has provided to Uzbekistan seven loans for $ 130.5 million in total for implementation of the projects in various sectors.
