In January-March 2015 LUKOIL increased investment in projects in Uzbekistan by 20.3 percent compared to the same period in 2014 - up to $ 160 million.
“The volume of capital expenditure for prospecting and mining in Uzbekistan increased from $ 133 million in January-March of 2014 to $ 160 million in the first quarter of 2015. The growth reached 20.3 percent,” noted in the company documents.
LUKOIL said about the increase of gas production in Uzbekistan, yet volumes are not disclosed.
LUKOIL is currently working in Uzbekistan on the implementation of three projects, including ‘Kandim-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad’, prospecting works in Southwestern Hisor, and as well as in the Uzbek part of the Aral Sea as part of the international consortium.
