In 2015, ”Uzbekenergo” supplies 55.5 billion kW of electricity

Joint Stock Company "Uzbekenergo" in the past year supplied 55.5 billion KW of electric energy with the growth rate of 104.2 %, the press service of the company reports. 

"Uzbekenergo" power plants produced about 55.5 billion kW of electric energy with the growth rate of 104.2 % and released 8.2 million Gcal of thermal energy. The targets for the export of goods and services were met 100.1 % .

The targets for products based on local raw materials were met 106.5 %. The production costs were reduced by 14%. During the reporting period, existing hydroelectric power plants were modernised, in particular the hydro unit number 3 on Charvak HPP.

The implementation of projects for the introduction of new high technology production of electrical energy was continued with the construction of combined-cycle and gas turbines in a number of thermal power plants, in particular, Talimarjan, Takhiatash, Navoi.

In order to diversify the fuel and energy balance by using alternative sources of energy, JSC "Uzbekenergo" continued work on the project of construction of solar photovoltaic power plant of 100 MW in the Samarkand region. Financial offers were made for hiring of the Chief constructor for the project.

15 projects designed to increase the use of alternative energy sources were activated. 12 of the projects were concerned with implementation of solar hot water systems, 1 photovoltaic panels project and 1 biogas plant project were also realised. The rest of the projects signed contracts for the supply of equipment and installation of solar collectors and photovoltaic power plants.
