Comfortable working conditions are created for manufacturers and carriers

Yesterday the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the ongoing reforms and creative work in the Tashkent region. In particular, the head of state got acquainted with the construction of logistics centers and cotton-textile clusters.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Highway Logistics center in Zangiata district.

When organizing a multifunctional center with modern facilities, the experience of Germany, France, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other countries in the field of logistics was studied.

In the center of the total cost of more than $ 40 million and an area of 14.2 hectares created 350 workplaces. Its annual capacity to provide logistics services for the export and import of goods is 1.2 million tons.

The customs department is organized on the territory of the center. There is a centralized warehouse of products, a customs post, a bank, departments for filling in declarations, certification and inspection, companies for sending and receiving goods, customs brokers.

It is planned to organize an agro-logistic center in Bekabad district, which will be engaged in freezing, drying, packing and storing fruit and vegetable products. The center with a total area of 2.5 hectares will be put into operation in the third quarter of 2019. As a result, 200 people will be employed. In a year the enterprise will export the products to $ 8.6 million to Japan, the Republic of Korea and the European Union.
At present, Uzbekistan is organizing the activities of clusters, which include all the processes from the procurement of raw materials to the production of finished products. This work yields tangible results.

The head of our state got acquainted with the projects on organization in the country, including in Pskent, Urtachirchik, Kuyichirchik, Akkurgan and Buka districts, cotton-textile clusters. So, in 2018-2020 in Kuyichirchik district planned to implement a project to organize a cluster with a full cycle of production of finished products from cotton. For this purpose, investments in more than
$ 59 million will be attracted, over 600 jobs created. This year, more than 60 such projects are planned to be implemented in our country.
