CEO of "Uzbekistan Airways" National Airline Valeriy Tyan awarded the Certificate of Merit of Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia for the considerable contribution to strengthening of bilateral relations between Latvia and Uzbekistan, – the press service of the airline reports.
The important role of the head of the airline in development of public transportation and cargo transportation between the two countries was also noted. The government award was handed by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Latvia to Uzbekistan Edgars Bondars at the ceremony in the NAC Directorate dedicated to the national holiday Navruz.
The head of the company devoted to civil aviation more than forty years. He headed the national airline on June 14, 2002. He has worked as Deputy Director General for State Regulation and Supervision - Head of inspection, First Deputy CEO of NAC. He headed the State Inspectorate of the Republic of Uzbekistan for flight safety supervision from 1998 to 2002.
During the working career he has mastered flying and has flown as a commander of AN-2, AN-24, IL-62, IL-76, IL-86, A-310 aircrafts and continue to fly on Boeing 757/767.
